Shaykh Tarek Elgawhary is a teacher, scholar, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the founder and President for the Coexist Research International as well the online learning platform & podcast Making Sense of Islam, and has been featured in C-SPAN and other national & international platforms.

His quest for knowledge has taken him to numerous universities in North America (including Princeton where he obtained my PhD in Islamic studies) as well as several centers of Sunni learning throughout the Muslim world, most notably al-Azhar seminary in Cairo where he did the bulk of his training.

His approach is always grounded in core Islamic principles, connects Islam in a global context, and couples understanding with practice & devotion. He is passionate about building & serving the community.
